Representing the voluntary youth sector is part of our core offer in order to keep our groups well connected and an active part of the conversation around any new strategies, plans and ways of working for children’s and young people’s groups.
ECVYS provide representation for the sector at National, Regional, County Wide and County Quadrant level meetings. This allows us to temperature check the work going on at grassroots level and enable the groups to share their views on issues that matter to them. We aim to keep groups abreast of any changes in policy, funding, safeguarding and training so that they can keep children and young people stable, resilient and safe.
Our groups tend to know what is going on at grassroots level, but we aim to be there to link them up with key policy makers so that we can help children and young people to have positive futures.
ECVYS provide representation in a wide range of meetings including:
- The Essex Safeguarding Children’s Board Executive (and all of the Stay Safe meetings)
- The ESCB Missing from Education Sub Group
- The ESCB Training and Development Sub Group
- The ESCB Harm in the Community Sub Committee
- The Children’s Partnership Board (and all the quadrant meetings)
- The Supporting Families Strategic Partnership Board
